McPherson & McPherson began in Coupeville, Washington, as a mother-daughter general law practice partnership in 1997, when Joan McPherson (mother in the mother-daughter team) joined Molly McPherson after Joan completed her elected term as Superior Court Judge of Island County and San Juan County. Although Joan was the older partner, Molly was the senior partner because she had established a very successful law firm at that time. The two of them developed a well-esteemed law practice based upon mutual respect, regard for the law, straightforward legal advice, and ethical, vigorous legal representation.
Joan is no longer actively practicing. She is serving in an advisory capacity.
The law firm is now headed by Molly McPherson, based upon the same goals and values established by Joan and Molly in 1997. New clients are welcomed.
We are proud of our firm and proud of the beautiful area where we are located, Island County in Washington State. We are in Coupeville on Whidbey Island, the heart of Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, which is partnered with the National Park Service. The McPherson family has been in Coupeville well over forty years and the McPhersons have been involved in many varied civic and community activities. We know the territory.
